After the sudden loss of their parents, Julia, the eldest of three orphaned sisters, finds solace in writing poetry. She shares her poems with Joey, a bedridden boy at the local hospital, pouring love and courage into her words to lift his spirits. Julia dreams of forming a friendship with Kelly, the most popular girl in school, whose own sister, Millie, is battling a similar illness in the same hospital. Unbeknownst to Julia, Kelly overhears the poems and, deeply moved, begins to see life through a new lens—her relationship with Millie softens, and she opens herself to the beauty in simple, heartfelt connections. This quiet transformation sparks an unexpected bond between Julia and Kelly, rooted in resilience, kindness, and the shared journey of finding light amid life’s darkest moments.
